Indian fabrics and clothing.

Monday: Closed
Tuesday – Saturday 11:00 - 18:00
Sunday 12 - 17:00

& (almost) every saturday morning you can find our stall at the local fabric market
in Utrecht @ Breedstraat 9am - 13pm

The store is just a 15-minute walk through the charming old city from the market.

We bring a different selection of fabrics to the market than what we have in store, so both are absolutely worth a visit!

Wandering through Utrecht’s beautiful little streets with @irischanhe wearing our newest Coconut Jasmine Skirt & 100% Linen Wrap Top 🦋🌹

The Sunny Breeze Top 🌞 Naturally dyed and traditionally block printed using a technique called Dabu print.

Dabu printing is an ancient hand-printing technique from India, where mud is used as a natural resist. The mud is stamped onto the fabric with wooden blocks before the fabric is dyed with natural colours. The mud protects parts of the fabric from the dye, allowing the motifs to stay light or white. ✨☀️

For the love of block printing… I mean, how magical is it that wooden blocks are carved by hand and then stamped onto fabric, slowly creating the most beautiful prints?

Many artisans have mastered this craft so beautifully that it is almost hard to tell the fabric is printed by hand at all.

It makes me so happy to share my love for block printing with you, and to support artisans in India in keeping this ancient craft alive for generations to come. 💛💛💛 You can find a wide selection block printed fabrics in store & every Saturday morning at our stall @lapjesmarktutrecht aaaand very soon also online on our new webshop fully dedicated to Indian fabrics per meter @indiasestoffen.nl

Hello, it’s me, Thamar ✨
I’m usually the one behind the camera, so I thought it was time to reintroduce myself a little.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved fashion, dressing up, creating little worlds and taking pictures with friends.

Years later, not much has changed. I’m still creating outfits, still taking pictures, still following the things that make my heart feel alive.

And somehow, all roads led me to India, to handmade textiles, to artisans, and eventually to creating Thaamsz.

Born from a big passion and a dream that has already grown into something beyond what I could have ever imagined.

So maybe this is your little sign to follow your wildest dreams, your inner child, and the things that keep calling you, even if you don’t know yet where they will take you. 💛
