Beautiful hand-embroidered neck yoke, originally part of a traditional dress from the Banjara tribe in India.
This piece showcases incredibly fine handwork, richly decorated with traditional mirrorwork and detailed, colourful embroidery , all entirely done by hand. Every stitch reflects the patience, skill and craftsmanship of the maker.
These kind of patches are often many decades old, the embroidered section was carefully cut out to preserve and reuse it. This is why the original fabric edges are still visible along the sides.
Size: 38 x 35,5 cm
The condition is remarkably good, especially considering its age. Please note that this is a vintage piece, so small signs of wear or loose threads may be present.
This yoke can be transformed into a new blouse as a beautiful statement front, or displayed as a textile artwork on your wall, framed or unframed.
