Hello! My name is Thamar, and I am the founder of Thaamsz. With my brand, I aim to shine a light on traditional textile techniques such as block printing, embroidery, and handloom. I collaborate with Indian artisans to create unique, handcrafted clothes.

 

Starting my own label has been a dream since I was a young girl, so it was an easy decision when choosing my education. However, during fashion school, I interned at a fast fashion office and didn't enjoy it. This experience led me to explore sustainable alternatives, and I was inspired by the many beautiful options available. I wanted to understand the entire process of making clothes, beyond just design.

 

After graduating, I followed my heart to India and fell in love with its textile traditions. With Thaamsz, I focus on using eco-friendly materials, fair labor practices, and sharing the artisans' stories through my designs.

 

This allows me to blend my passions for photography, travel, and textiles into a singular pursuit.
