My Life. My Blog.
STORY
Thaamsz is a newborn label with a core commitment to understand and illuminate every facet of our supply chain. We want to surpass knowing ‘who made my clothes’ and extend by tracing the origins of the fibers, the people taking care of them as well as make true connections throughout the whole production process.
Of course, this is a process that takes time. Today we have successfully identified the people responsible for crafting our garments and fabrics. For future visits to India our focus will not simply be on the production but will also include unraveling additional segments of the supply chain, including the origins of the cotton and the individuals intricately linked to its cultivation. This ongoing endeavor will each year bring us steadily closer to our overarching goal of establishing a fashion brand characterized by complete transparency, where each stage of the supply chain can be traced back to its origin.
TRANSPARENCY
Working closely together with the artisans who create the clothes & connecting you with them by telling their stories through photography and cloth.

UPCYCLING
Transforming leftover and vintage fabrics into new items.
NEVER OUT OF SEASON
Designing pieces that are not tied to a specific season or trend
TRADITIONAL
Preserving traditional, local textile crafts by incorporating it into the designs

Explore the process behind each handcrafted piece

A traditional Indian printing technique where carved wooden blocks are dipped in dye and stamped onto fabric to create repeating patterns.

Many of our pieces are crafted from handwoven organic cotton, woven on traditional Indian pit looms.
